She received her Ph.D at the University of Birmingham , UK during which she worked at the interface of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering to develop lower fat food to tackle the obesity. He is an expert in Raman Spectroscopy of polar materials and has a wide variety of technical skills which include optical and vibrational properties at micro and nano scales, morphic effects, residual stresses of composites and devices and temperature and phase transition. She received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Pori in December 2006 and D. Sc. (Tech.) degree in June 2011. Sari’s current research work includes new application possibilities of RFID, especially in the field of well-being and sensing, as well as well-being enhancing technology solutions in general. She has also worked with (mobile) games as a new tool for self-activation and rehabilitation. Dr Frank Claeyssen is the Managing Director for Cedrat Technologies and an expert in piezoelectroic actuators, magnostrictive materials and movement for aircraft, space, underwater and defense applications. He was awarded his engineering degree in 1985 from ISEN-IEMN Lille (France). From 1985 to 1989, he developed high-power Sonar Transducers in a lab of Sub Marine Detection of French Navy and passed his Ph.D. at INSA. He has since been awarded several French National Prizes in 2006-2009. He is inventor of about 20 patented piezo or magnetic actuators, motors & sensors, such as the APA®. In 2012, he acquired CTEC and became the Managing Director. Since his acquisition, CTEC has doubled, reaching in 2019 a turnover of 6 M€ with a team of 50 people.
